Since 2020, Centropa is part of a consortium led by the European Jewish Cemeteries Initiative (ESJF) and involving the Foundation for Jewish Heritage, all working within the framework of a pilot Jewish cemeteries project co-funded by the European Commission. The project has as its central aim the surveying of vulnerable Jewish cemeteries in Central and Eastern Europe.

The broad theme of these lessons is human connection, and a more specific theme is promises: how people keep promises, or don’t, and what happens in either situation. Students are asked to look at:
· individual promises they make and want to keep for themselves
· the commitment we make to keeping the traditions of our communiites;
On the 31th of March 2021, within the project „Meet me halfway (meet me in Vienna)", the students involved in it from Liceul Teoretic "Iulia Hasdeu", from Lugoj, are collaborating and meeting online with the students from Vestal Senior High School, New York, USA. The students from both schools have made a series of activities beforehand starting from the documentaries created by Centropa. During this meeting, the students had been discussing and presenting their own conclusions.
On Thursday, 25.03.2021, several students from the ninth, tenth and twelfth grades from the Theoretical High School "Iulia Hasdeu" Lugoj visited the monuments dedicated to the victims of the Holocaust in the Jewish Cemetery in Lugoj. The activity took place as part of the project Meet me halfway (meet me in Vienna), a project in which students from the Theoretical High School "Iulia Hasdeu" Lugoj learn about the Holocaust with students from Vestal Senior High School, Vestal, New York, USA .
Using Return to Rivne as the centerpiece, this lesson uses stations for students to explore the geography, pre-war life, Roma people, the family that hid Shelly and Raya, the toys Shelly and Raya made, statistics, and Holocaust terms for students to explore the context of this story. Google Earth and Google Voyager are used to virtually visit Rivne.
