Tzipa Woolf and her family

This is the family of my father's sister Tzipa Woolf, nee Sherman. My aunt sent that picture from the USA. 1st row: my aunt’s daughter Ruth is standing, aunt Tzipa and her husband Jacob Woolf are sitting. Their sons Harry and Abraham (Albert) are standing in the 2nd row. I never met my cousins. The photo was taken in Washington, USA, in the 1930s.

I do not know exactly how my grandmother Tsive-Feiga came to Rakvere. I supposed she got married to Grandfather and went there with him. I do not remember where they lived before their arrival in Rakvere.

Their first-born, my father, came into the world in 1872 in Rakvere. His Jewish name was Shmuel, and he was called Samuel in accordance with the documents. Three more children were born after Father. I do not remember the years of their birth. The second son was Jacob, the third was Biniumin. Father's younger sister was called Tzipa.

Father's younger sister Tzipa left for the USA when she was an adolescent. There she married Jacob Woolf and gave birth to two sons. First the Woolf family lived in New York, then they moved to Washington and finally they settled down in Detroit.
