This is the year 1950, in the month of December. It is a Saturday. This is a photo of the whole family in front of the Beyoglu Registry Office after my civil marriage to Bulisa Berta was realized. In the front row you can see my brother Izak Coyas, then the woman with the wide black hat is my mother Mazalto Coyas, then me, then my wife Bulisa Coyas, then my mother-in-law Rebeka Baruh, who is holding the hand of her youngest child, Liya. Right behind her you can see my father-in-law Hayim Baruh. Behind in the second row, you can see my aunt, Rasel Deleon, who is holding her granddaughter Cela Deleon’s hand. The woman whose head you can see between Izak Coyas and my mother, Mazalto Coyas is my wife’s sister, Neli Baruh, you can see my wife’s brother Izak Baruh standing behind her. The woman standing at the very front on the left is my wife’s uncle Aron Ojalvo’s wife, Rasel Ojalvo. Our witnesses were my uncle Jozef Deleon and a close family friend, Albert Elevi. A lot of flowers had been sent to us by friends and colleagues. After the ceremony we gave out "bonbonyera"s [wedding candies] to everyone. My wife wore a tailor-made black suit, and a pink hat. She had a bouquet of gladioles in her hand.
