This is Ferenc Oblath, Uncle Feri, one of my mother's brothers and his wife, Szeren. This is their wedding picture. They never had any children and I know almost nothing about them. Uncle Feri was the 'Co.' in the Zsigmond Kertesz and Co. grocery shop. They died in the war, by the time I arrived home, [from the deportation] they were already dead. Somebody told me that Szeren was among the Jews who were driven from the Yellow Star Houses to the Danube and shot into the river. I don't know where Uncle Feri went, just like with my Dad. Uncle Feri must have been drafted into forced labor- because he must have been the same age as my Dad.
