Revekka Rivlin's wedding

This is my younger sister Revekka's wedding. Revekka is in the center, and her husband is on the left. His surname was Rivlin. On Revekka's right is my mama Ida Kaplan, and our older sister Rosa Shein is on Rivlin's left. Rosa's husband Efrayim Shein is on her left. I am standing on Efrayim's right. Sitting on Mama's left is our older brother Sahne. The 4th on the right is my younger sister Raya's husband Kolia Gorosh. I don't remember his actual first name. Everybody called him Kolia. My younger sister Raya is on his left. I don't remember any other guests. They were the Rivlin family and our friends and relatives. I used to know them, but it was so long ago… This photo was taken in Riga in 1927.

Revekka worked as a dental technician after finishing a training course. She married a doctor from Riga in 1927 and moved in with him. Everybody called him Doctor Rivlin, and that is how I remember him. The wedding took place in Riga where Revekka's husband lived. She moved to Riga after the wedding. Our youngest sister Raya and her family also lived there. Revekka and her husband had two children. Raya married Kolia Gorosh, a trader from Riga, in the early 1930s. I don't remember his Jewish name Their daughter Efros was born in 1936. My older sister Rosa's only daughter Roni was born in 1936. I was very much attached to my nieces and nephews.

Sahne started his own business and got married. He had a traditional Jewish wedding. Sahne and his family lived in Aluksne. His wife's name was Natasha. She also had a Jewish name, which I can't remember. They had two children: a son, Menahem, and a daughter. I don't remember the daughter's name.
