Nathalia Yampolskaya

This is my future wife Nathalia Yampolskaya as a pupil, in the uniform of a pioneer. This photo was taken in Odessa in 1934. Nathalia is wearing a pioneer necktie with a pioneer clip on it. Nathalia was born in Odessa in 1920. We had known each other since childhood. We studied in the same school where she was a Komsomol leader, only she lived in a different district. Our parents were acquainted and had friendly relations before the Great Patriotic War. The Yampolskiy family was in evacuation in Stavropol and then in Stalinabad in Tajikistan during the war. In evacuation Nathalia studied three years at a medical college.
