Matilda Israel with her colleagues in Karnobat

This photot was taken in 1946, when I worked in the pharmacy in Karnobat. I?m pictured here with my colleagues; I am the third from right. After World War II ended, we returned to Karnobat, where my husband started to work as head of the district medical center until 1950. Meanwhile, our two sons were born - Marcel, in Plovdiv in 1945 and Michel, in Karnobat in 1948. After Marcel was born, I studied as an assistant pharmacist for two years and right after I graduated, I was appointed to work in the chemist's in Karnobat. The pharmacy was close to our house and at noon I could go home to see how my son was doing.
