Luna Davidova's wedding

This is a picture from my wedding. I married Haim Buko Levi in Sofia in 1953. He was born on 9th September 1920 in the town of Dupnitza. His father was a shoemaker, a good and modest person. My husband had two brothers, Hertzel and Simcho, and one sister, Marieta alias Marcella. Hertzel was a steward in ?Trud? newspaper; he lived in Sofia and after 1989 he left for Israel. Simcho was a kiosk vendor in Dupnitza and he left for Israel with his wife and his two sons, Izi and Sami, in 1989. Marieta alias Marcella was a housewife in Kjustendil. My husband graduated from the Svishtov University in Economy, then he studied Law at Sofia University but he didn't graduate. He was a journalist, his main interests were in economics. He worked with different newspapers - the daily 'Trud' [Labor], biweekly 'Evreiski Vesti' [Jewish News] as well as the weekly 'Ikonomicheski Zhivot' [Economic Life] from where he retired and received his pension. His political ideas were the same as mine - he was a communist, a socialist. In 1952 our friendship and love began, in 1953 we got married in a civil ceremony.
