Lev Dubinski’s mother's cousin Moisey Reizis

This is my mother's cousin Moisey Reizis. He was a doctor in Belaya Tserkov. He is 27 years old in this photo. He sent this photo to his relatives in Kiev. It was taken in Belaya Tserkov in 1915.

My maternal grandfather Meyer had 2 sisters and brothers. I only knew one sister Miriam Reizis, born near Belaya Tserkov in 1860s. She lived in Belaya Tserkov later. She didn't have any education and was a housewife. Miriam had two daughters: her older daughter Tsypoira was deaf and dumb. I don't remember her older daughter's name.  They lived in Basseynaya Street in Kiev. Both daughters perished in Babi Yar  in 1941. She also had a son named Moisey. He worked as a doctor in Belaya Tserkov. He was much respected. He never refused people and helped them for free whenever they needed him.  Miriam died in Belaya Tserkov before the war. Moisey moved to Kiev with his family after the war. He died in 1980s.
