Holocaust memorial in Rovno

This is a memorial in Yiddish, Hebrew and Ukrainian which says that 17500 Rovno Jews, old men, women and children, were guiltlessly tortured, executed and buried by Germans here on November 6, 1941.

Near Rovno there is a forest called Sosyonki. In that forest they were all shot. A little later a small monument was erected. At first there were two poles and a short inscription.

After 50 years the Ukrainian government ordered to immortalize the memory of Jews who perished in the Holocaust. Sixth from the left you can see the name of Nakhman Kats.

It is written in Yiddish, not as we were accustomed to write it in Hebrew "Kats" in two letters. And then you see Peysa Kats, not very clearly. And there should be my sister there too.
