Certificate (in Ukrainian) issued to my mother Rosa Borisovna Geifman-Loshanovskaya to confirn that she is a widow of Iosif Geifman, a red partisan, fighting for the Soviet power during the civil war, This certificate was issued in 1932, after my father's death. During WWI my father was in the sharpshooter unit on the front. After one of combat actions there were only three of them alive. My father returned from the front with a gray strand of hair. During the civil war he struggled in a Red Partisan Unit. My mother and I had a certificate confirming this fact and we could have some privileges, like food ration, and later we received an apartment in Kiev .
