This is my daughter Buena Cestnik, nee Yulzari, as a school leaver. The photo was taken in 1959 in Ruse.
I gave birth to my daughter, Buena, in 1941. The children then were born at home. We didn't go to hospitals as they do today. And I remember us staying at the windows on 1st March 1941 watching the Germans arriving. It was not a pleasant vision.
Beti completed her high-school education in Ruse. After that she went to study in Sofia where she completed her university education as an extramural student at the Mechanical Engineering Institute. She is an engineer. At the moment she is a teacher in 'automated machines' at the Technical High School for Clothing and Footwear.
The family name of my daughter's husband is Cestnik. Their daughter, Irena Cestnik, is a teacher of Ivrit in the Jewish school in Sofia. She is 42 years old, not married.
