On January 29, 2018, the Centropa exhibition „Lost Sephardic World of the Western Balkans“ was opened in the Croation city Dubrovnik. The exibition was opened by Edward Serotta to 50 elementary and high school teachers. Also were present Loranda Miletić from the Croatian Ministry of education, history teacher from Philosophical faculty Snježana Koren, Richelle Budd Caplan from Yad Vashem, and Tal Brutmann from Memorial de la Shoah. Edward Serotta gave a tour thorugh exibition with some ideas on how to use it in classroom.
Between 29-31 October, we organized our 6th professional development seminar for teachers in European and Israeli Jewish Schools in Krakow. 26 educators from 15 countries and 17 schools came together to discover Jewish Krakow, learn about Centropa resources, and share experiences and ideas with each other.
We thank for all the teachers to be with us, and our wonderful partner, the Galicia Jewish Museum for granting us a seminar venue.
Dear teachers from European and Israeli Jewish schools,
we are happy to invite you to our upcoming professional development seminar, taking place between 29-31 October in Krakow, Poland.
Similarly to last years, the seminar will be a sparkling environment where 30 educators from all over Europe and Israel come together to learn about Centropa and our materials - with a special focus on Poland - learn about the programs and projects we have to offer for this year, and brainstorm together about new ideas.
