The picture was made in Hungary in 1945 after war. This is me with my friend Vasiliy Ivanov. He was a battery commander. Both of us were in one regiment in the rank of a lieutenant.
With my colleagues at the Ceramics Fire Resisting Material Factory.
This is me, nowadays.
I officially retired in February 1987, but I worked there as an organizer secretary for years, even after the change of regime for a while. Sometime in the mid 1990 my job discontinued completely.
Our family. I think it was taken after the Germans marched in.
My mother in the lab.
My father was a chemical engineer, he graduated the Polytechnic University in 1912 In 1935 my father bought laboratory equipment, set up the lab in one of the rooms of our apartment, and from then on he worked at home. He taught my mother and she worked with the chemical balance.
My father at a Seder.
We were raised in a Neolog, and not expressly religious family. We always had a Christmas tree with candles, it once took fire. There was a big scandal, my father threw a carpet, or something else on it I think. I don't remember whether we gave gifts to each other, perhaps we gave some, our maids were Christian girls.
My father, during work. I think my brother took the picture, who got a camera for his bar mitzvah, among other things, and from then on he took a lot of pictures.
My father was born in Bekes in 1890. He was a wonderful man. He spoke German and French, and was a member of the generation, which lived at the beginning of the 20th century: incredibly erudite people, who spoke many languages and had been around a lot, and who were also excellent in their profession.
My class picture from the first grade of high school.
This is my class picture from the first grade of elementary school.
My brother and I completed the four classes of elementary school on Szent Istvan Square. I hated the teacher very much, she even beat us. She became angry with one of the girls, and she hit her so hard that her nose started bleeding. We also went to Jewish religion classes, everyone had religion class. After elementary school both of us went to high school.
With my brother in the garden of the house of my father's sister.
