In this photograph, from the left, standing, are my uncle Martin Vajda; the sister of Tereza's husband; the brother of Tereza's husband; my mother's sister Persida; my father, Nikola Vajda; my uncle Lajos Vajda; in the middle is my grandmother Judita Vajda; my aunt Tereza Klein; Tereza's husband; my mother, Miroslava Vajda; and my grandfather Emil Vajda. My father was well-educated and made a good living as a manager, a financial specialist. He was killed in 1941 in Belgrade along with his brother Martin. My mother, Miroslava, was Serb.
