Boriska Neumann

This is a portrait of my cousin Boriska Neumannova, who was from Kosice. The picture was taken in the 1910s. Here in Kosice there was a large percentage of rich city Jews and they invested in the Neolog school and synagogue. We children had snacks and milk every morning, which was considered a luxury then. Boriska was born in 1900. She was a doctor before the war and perished in Auschwitz concentration camp.
