Adolf and Franciska Gluck

They are my maternal great-grandparents, Adolf Gluck and Franciska Gluck, nee Grad. The woman sitting in front of them is a relative. The photo was taken in Rozsnyo in 1874. My great-grandfather graduated from commercial school and was an insurance agent. His first wife, Franciska Grad, died of pulmonary tuberculosis at a relatively young age. After her death, her husband, Adolf Gluck came to Pest with the children and remarried. In the 19th century the Gluck, and especially the Grad family was quite big. One or two generations later the relatives didn't know each other anymore. My mother found out about one of her distant cousins after World War II because a common relative, Edith Kohn, inquired about her from New York. From then on we kept in touch as relatives, with the family of Terez Kohn/Kalman, though we could never determine the exact relation.
