Leon Sager and acquaintances

This picture is from the 1920s and was probably taken in Germany. The one in the middle is Leon Sager, a first degree cousin of my mother, Fanny Filderman, nee Finkelstein. As a youth, he went to study in Germany. He worked as a construction engineer at the oil facilities in Ploiesti. He built a block of apartments on Mosilor Avenue, from which he was evicted during World War II. His son became a physician and died young, while in Rome, at a medical convention. His daughter, Nadia, emigrated to the US, where she married a dentist.
