Gyorgy's hiking friends

The photo was taken in 1975 in Nagybanya [in Romanian: Baia Mare]. In those days we spent all our free time out in the nature, so on the weekends, holidays, festivals, when we did not have to work, we went on hiking trips with friends. Mainly Jews, but we also had non-Jewish friends too. The first man from the right, Lajos Nadler, was our companion on outings and a good friend; he was a Jew. He had a small press in the basement of the house at no. 38 Deak Ferenc Street. I know this because the house was my grandmother's. He mostly printed labels for advertising. I do not know why he moved to Nagybanya. We went to Izvora for hiking and spent a night at his place. He was a printer in Nagybanya too, but he was also a photographer and there he dealt mostly with photography. He had a studio and took photos at weddings and such occasions on request. After he moved we met very rarely. We met when he came to Kolozsvar for one or two days. I do not know who the woman next to him is. The third and fourth women from the right are Maria Toth and Erzsi Toth. The latter was called Toti. Toti was an adjutant at the Physical Education Department of the Bolyai University. The two sisters were not Jews but we were friendly with them. The other two people are my wife and myself.
