Ferenc Sandor's great-grandfather Beno Fogel in front of his shop

My great grandfather's shop. He is standing in front of it. It is not easy to say what my great-grandfather did for a living, because he worked at various jobs in various places. My grandmother was born in Mezokovacshaza because the family was so poor that they had to move from village to village in the hope of earning a better living at a different place. But by the time I was born, they owned a house and a small store in Megyesegyhaza; later a tavern, too. Fourteen children were born to them and nine lived to adulthood. Of the nine, three were boys.
