Larissa Khusid's husband Isaak Feldman

Larissa Khusid's husband Isaak Feldman

My husband, Isaak Feldman, wearing his Navy uniform. The photo was taken in Sevastopol in 1950. I?ve lived my life with my dearest husband, Isaak Feldman. His father, Lev Grigorievich Feldman, a neuropathologist, was the director of a hospital during the war. My mother-in-law, Augustina, came from a wealthy Jewish family. She never worked outside the home. They had a very intelligent and educated family. My husband's family wasn?t religious, and didn't observe any Jewish traditions. During the war, my husband studied at the Navy College in Vladivostok, but was dismissed before his fifth year. He was there when the war with Japan began, and was on ships that sailed to America. Later, he finished a 3-year English course and also earned a university Law degree, studied at the Institute of Foreign Languages, in the English Department, and attended the Institute of Patent Engineers. He has studied all his life. About 15 years ago, with his fluent English, he got a job at a foreign company as a lawyer. About seven or eight years ago, he was sent on a business trip to New York, where he spoke against 'Lloyds,'a very famous English corporation, and won the case that brought Ukraine $6 million. My husband still works.
